Future Archeology
In Collaboration with The Steamship Project Space.
Organised for the Thames Festival Trust for Totally Thames 2020.
When we find objects washed up by the river, we are presented with a portal through time. Archeology studies historic objects to uncover truths about our past. In Future Archeology, participants were led through an active hands-on sculpture workshop, using clay and plaster, to reconsider the objects they found mud-larking. We projected our thoughts into the future by making new imaginary objects and discussing what might be found along the shores of the Thames in another 100 years from now.
