Vulture Who?
Bentley was a vulture became the catalyst for Vulture Who? a temporary installation and series of recordings that took place in Indo bar, Whitechapel. Indo was a public house since the 1700s, and is frequented by a diverse crowd of East London locals, late night fun seekers, city workers and unpredictable passers by. The audio is taken from a series of conversations across the bar.
Whilst walled into the hard city, the wild of nature a distant mystery, do we know or care about the plights of far away animals? The conversations use the overlooked and misunderstood vulture as a starting point to slowly circle deeper into the issues of endangered species, anthropocentrism and speciesism through the voices of the diverse public.
